About the event
Imagine being an enslaved person all of your life. One day the proclamation comes that declared that "all persons held as slaves within the rebellious states are, and henceforward shall be free." But then you learned it happened two years earlier and you are just finding out. Through dramatic performance, the AngelWing Project will share the story of Juneteenth, and what that day was like for the people who were there. Come see the show and hear from "the last to know."
